Graduation
Our district’s graduation rate for the 2023-2024 academic year increased by 1.8 percentage points over the prior year! In May 2025, more than 15,000 seniors received their high school diploma.

Literacy
Literacy is a top initiative in Hillsborough County Public Schools. Our district utilizes tools like UFLI, myON, New Worlds Scholarships, and “Paige” the Literacy Bus to promote early childhood literacy.

Security
HCPS employs 389 Guardian-certified Security Officers. These well-trained officers are deployed at all elementary sites. We partner with Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Tampa Police Department to have law enforcement presence at every middle and high school.

CTE
HCPS is home to more than 400 unique CTE courses. Our CTE programs are taught throughout each high school and include 47 CTE middle school programs.
